The Marlow Murder Club

3 Series Stars Samantha Bond Marlow Cozy Mystery Amateur Sleuths

In the idyllic riverside town of Marlow, retired archaeologist and crossword aficionado Judith Potts teams up with dog-walker Suzie and vicar's wife Becks to solve murders the police can't crack. Based on Robert Thorogood's novels (he also created Death in Paradise), it's warm, witty, and gloriously cozy — three sharp older women outsmarting everyone around them. Comfort viewing with real charm and a delicious sense of mischief. The Marlow Murder Club airs on PBS; for more, see British TV Hub's guide to where to watch British TV in the US.

Season 3 is part of British TV Hub's British TV autumn 2026 preview, and Marlow also features in the guide to cozy British mysteries for autumn.

Season 3 Now Airing

Judith, Becks, and Suzie are back as official civilian advisors to DI Tanika Malik's team, taking on another run of high-profile murders with the same unconventional, unstoppable approach that's made them Marlow's most effective (if unofficial) detectives. Season 3 is airing Sundays through October, paired with Marble Hall Murders as part of PBS Masterpiece's fall mystery lineup.

About the show

The Marlow Murder Club is based on Robert Thorogood's novels — Thorogood also created Death in Paradise, giving him two very different detective franchises running on British TV at once. Samantha Bond, Jo Martin, and Cara Horgan star as the trio of amateur sleuths. Season 3's six episodes cover three separate murder cases, two episodes apiece, each with its own guest cast — Sarah Alexander appears as Sophia in the season's opening mystery, alongside Peter Davison as Marlow's mayor. Thorogood built the series around three older women who outsmart everyone around them, a deliberate change of pace from the genre's usual younger, glossier leads. The series airs as part of PBS Masterpiece's Sunday-night mystery pairing with Marble Hall Murders.
