About the show
Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss created Sherlock together, and despite its very London setting, the series was filmed largely in Cardiff, Wales — with North Gower Street standing in for Baker Street. Over four series and one special, it won nine Emmy Awards in total, including a single-night haul of seven for Benedict Cumberbatch, Martin Freeman, and Steven Moffat's writing. The show has since been sold to 180 territories worldwide.
