About the show

Daisy Goodwin — who also created the long-running Channel 4 series Grand Designs — wrote and created Victoria, casting Jenna Coleman as the young queen and Rufus Sewell as her first prime minister, Lord Melbourne. The series covered the real Queen Victoria's life from 1837 to 1851 across three series, ending right as the Great Exhibition opens at Crystal Palace. ITV has never officially cancelled the show but has confirmed there are no current plans to film a fourth series, leaving that 2019 cliffhanger unresolved.
