Cast Guide · Line of Duty
The Officers Under Investigation
Every series of Line of Duty centers on a different high-profile guest star as the officer AC-12 investigates, alongside the returning core trio of Steve Arnott, Kate Fleming, and Ted Hastings. Here's who played who, spoiler-free — no reveals about who turns out to be corrupt.
The Officers, Series by Series

A guarded, closely-watched officer at the center of a botched witness-protection convoy, in a performance widely considered one of the show's finest.
Daniel Mays as Sergeant Danny Waldron
A firearms officer whose actions during a botched raid open up a case that runs far deeper than a single bad decision.
Thandiwe Newton as DCI Roz Huntley
A senior investigating officer whose handling of a murder case starts to unravel under AC-12's scrutiny, in a performance that drew wide critical praise.
Stephen Graham as DS John Corbett
An undercover officer embedded with an organized crime group, whose true loyalties become the central question of the series.
Kelly Macdonald as DCI Joanne Davidson
A senior investigating officer whose case reopens threads going all the way back to Series 1, played with a guardedness that keeps viewers guessing.
