A ground-up reboot of Elizabeth George's bestselling Inspector Lynley novels, pairing the aristocratic DI Tommy Lynley (Leo Suter) with his working-class sergeant, DS Barbara Havers (Sofia Barclay), on the fictitious Three Counties police force. A Ground-Up Reboot, Not a Continuation

What Makes the Series Special

Central Partnership

A Purely Platonic Class-Clash Duo

The show keeps the Lynley-Havers relationship strictly platonic, letting their loyalty to one another develop through work rather than romance — a deliberate choice that critics have praised as faithful to George's novels.
